Events in Muskoka This Summer

If you’re considering spending some time in Muskoka this summer, here are some events you might want to consider going to. Whether it’s a solo adventure or a family escapade, Muskoka offers something for everyone.

  • Spin the Lakes Tour. May 26th

Are you a bike enthusiast looking to explore the idyllic scenery in Muskoka? While you do have to register to join, the post ride brunch and pool provided at Hidden Valley Resort in Huntsville are sure to make a memorable day. Click here to register

  • The Summer Muskoka Life Show. June 16th

This summer, almost 100 vendors will be at the Canada Summit Centre in Huntsville. This free event showcases a wide range of aspects of cottage living with presentations and workshops. You can learn more about cooking, gardening, decor and more.

  • Canada Day Parades. July 1st

This one is filled with nostalgia for the locals, myself included! Rain or shine you can find folks celebrating their heritage in each town or village in Muskoka. Face painting, petting zoos, and fair games are well loved and always expected. Wherever you decide to spend your time in Muskoka, you’re sure to find a fair near you.

  • Muskoka Buttertart Festival. July 14th

This one is a biggie. Imagine a whole day dedicated to finding the best butter tart in Muskoka. Well that dream comes true so long as you make it to Joseph Street, Port Carling before all that delicious gooey goodness is nabbed. 

  • Muskoka Comic-Con. August 4th

Do you want to let your inner comic nerd loose? Or do you have a teen who’s reluctant to spend time with the family at the cottage? MuskokaCon takes place at the Bracebridge Memorial Arena from 10am to 6pm and is a great place to meet new people and celebrate the things you love.
